Jessica Eye vs Miesha Tate - Eye picked up a controversial decision over Sarah Kaufman in her debut, only to have the win stripped due to a positive marijuana test. After she served her suspension, she lost a pivotal contest to Alexis Davis by split decision at UFC 170. Davis got a title shot off of that win while Eye wound up without an official win after two fights. The Ohio native dominated Leslie Smith at UFC 180, forced a doctor's stoppage after Smith's ear nearly exploded, and passed her drug test to assure herself of a UFC victory. Now she's in her first UFC main card slot, and there's a title shot on the line.
As most fans know, Tate's UFC career started off with a TKO loss to Cat Zingano in a #1 contender's bout, but when Zingano tore her ACL, Tate stepped in to rematch bitter rival Ronda Rousey at UFC 168. Miesha became the first (and so far only) woman to get Rousey out of round 1, but she ended up getting her arm mangled again anyway. Since those two losses, Tate has picked up three straight victories, including decisions over Liz Carmouche and Sara McMann. A third crack at Rousey is in Tate's sights right now.
